Wigalois is the story of the son of Gawain. It's a German text, and those -- in my absolutely somewhat limited feel -- tend to exist quite positive toward Gawain, every bit this one is. Every bit in The Crown, he does have a modest flaw, which prevents him from being truly pure, merely compared to the balance of the globe, he gets off lightly. Anyhow, the majority of the tale is about his son, in whatsoever instance. If you've read a lot of Arthurian texts, it'll be largely familiar to you. It starts off sounding very like Sir Gareth'southward tale, except that Wigalois isn't a Fair Unknown -- except in that he doesn't know his male parent, which might actually exist enough to course him equally a Off-white Unknown.
The story charts Wigalois' growth, and how he saves and falls in dear with a maiden. So far, so very Arthurian. Information technology doesn't peculiarly stand out for me equally a favourite, but information technology's quite readable -- the translation seems okay. The final owner of my copy was the same equally the last possessor of my copy of The Crown, to judge on the handwriting and the fact that I got them from the same source, and he doesn't have nearly so many quibbles with this translation as with the translation of The Crown.
